Woosh Big Bear snapped fork, needs replacing

Was riding a brand new second-hand Big Bear (front hub motor) home after collecting it from eBay seller, 6 miles in and the fork snapped on both sides at the dropouts while going full speed. Didn't bring my tools with me to tighten everything up and the old guy who previously owned it said he'd never pushed it much past 10 mph, so my fault really.

I've read that aluminium suspension forks are likely to fail with a front hub motor, so now I want to find a new threaded fork that is cheap, steel, rigid, for a 26 inch wheel with 1 1/8 steerer tube, and has mounting for a disc brake. I've found something that fits those criteria here but I'm wondering if anyone here has any better recommendations.

It's not an issue we here about with the Big Bear as the fork and installation are oem for the job and designed to be so, so not like any old kit chucked on a bike.
May be the anti rotation washers and torque arms weren't correctly installed or missing.
I fitted the same Big Bear kit to my Norco 700c with Suntour front forks and never had an issue with torque arms.

Probably, the wheel was taken off and the nuts not tightened properly. Did it have the torque arms on when they broke, or did someone take them off without realising their necessity?

Where are you based? I've a Suntour sprung non-taper fork for a 26" with disc mounts. Very good nick for a reasonable amount. Surrey Hampshire Berkshire border.
