I think the answer is 1.

Sorry 'bout that. I am sure someone will be along with a sensible answer shortly.

The 805fe is a short front frame, in-frame battery 6 speed bike with budget components to keep the price down.

The 806fe has dual chainring 16 speed wide range gearing, higher grade components and a rack mounted high quality Panasonic battery. It's frame proportions are better suited for cycling than the in-frame short front design.

Thanks Flecc.I must have a one off. As it is a 2010 bike 6th month, 16speed, rack panasonic with with 805fe on the frame, 20 inch wheeles. Hence the question.

They are still available and all like this now, almost the same as the 806fe. I just assumed you had the former model. The 805fe like yours obviously replaced the 806fe which is discontinued, the current 806 model being the Alpino which has the Japanese Dapu motor, not the Chinese Suzhou Bafang motor that's on your bike.

I don't know John , no experience of the Dapu motor which is very new. Wisper rate it highly and use in in their premium models, but that is natural really since Japanese products do tend to be more expensive than Chinese.

I doubt there's much in it judging from Dapu owner comments from those who've had SB motors previously.
