Wisper battery charger problem

Hello,

My charger has only green light on so I went to local wisper dealership from were I bought my new battery last April.

One month now I am visiting the dealer with the charger and the battery and he is unable to fix me.

I am looking for a new charger to buy for the older wisper 905 city model (2007 model) .

He has the same charger here but he doesn't want to cut the new connector and put the compatible i found from the electrical spare parts shop.

If you buy one of these, they'll set it to the correct voltage (same as your existing one) and put on the correct connector:

Or alternatively you could just fit the new connector to the charger yourself if you don't want to wait for a new charger to ship from abroad ?

I could do it my self but if something happens to the battery I will loose the warranty.

From the electrical spares shop they gave me a white connector the usual one for television antenna.

The distributor say that this is not good. The original connector has a broken core and is a black box you can't open it for repair or change wires.

This charger is a whole lot cheaper than buying a replacement "dedicated" charger!

Is it missing some protection mechanisms to be found in replacement chargers or does the bms provide all the necessary battery protection?
How does this charger indicate when charging is complete - couldn't tell from website.
Excuse my ignorance if answers are obvious, but the price comparison with a dedicated charger is amazing!

The charger has a red light to show power and a red light that turns green when fully charged. It's fully automatic. You'll find the shipping cost is quite high, so have a look round their site and see if there's anything else you want, or buy two and sell one on the forum or Ebay. These chargers are also fully adjustable by adjusters inside the case, so they can be used for any battery.

Hi WARNING there are LETHAL voltages inside a switch mode charger IE 1,000 volts

DONT under any circumstance open a live charger unless you are a Electronics engineer


Or we may see a DEAD end to this thread

I think what d8veh meant was they are adjustable for any battery i.e. they can be ordered configured for use with any battery from a generic product rather than suggesting he opened one up and adjusted it himself.

However any casual tinkerers reading this thread have been duly cautioned ...

I hope till now you got resolved from this problem. If not then may also consider for new battery charger. you may search about wagawoo those are well known for all kind of battery chargers like Industrial, Medical and manymore.

IMPORTANT WARNING

Before anyone buys a charger that does is not matched with the battery. PLEASE make 100% certain that the charger is certified, safe and totally compatible with the battery.

The use of a non compatible charger on any Lithium battery could lead to fire.

I would strongly recommend that you use only the charger supplied by the battery supplier and that it is the charger specifically built and paired with the battery you are intending to charge.

Hello,

Here is my situation now concerning the battery,

The dealer removed the midle pin from the battery in order to make the battery interchangable from 905 eco to 905 city bicycle I have.

He told me that there no meaning for the midle pin since it is blind.(that what he told me)

Since this change, the battery is gone down the hill. He charged me 20 euro for this in order to check my battery too.

Now the battery charges but doesn't move the motor in both bicycles.

In both bikes all lights are lit as normal.

The battery shows fully charged 41 volts.

Two bicycles and none operational.
