The bike is two months old and has covered 700 kms (commuting). Roughly when should I be thinking about changing the pads as I can't do a visual check without taking them out and I'm not confident of doing that successfully.
Thanks
Adrian

I change mine when they are still ineffective after I adjust them, you get some warning and I found the inside adjuster ran out of thread. They are cheap from eBay so it's easy to have spare laying around, it's a good idea anyway as they could become contaminated or damaged before they wear out.

Thanks for the reply but I'm afraid I haven't a clue what you're talking about via a vis 'adjusters' and' threads' as I'm not a bike mechanic, hence my general question

You adjust the right hand side of the caliper with a hex key and the left hand side is done with the cable adjustment, if you only use the cable adjuster it won't work well.
It's a simple thing to do once you know how but a difficult one to explain, have you downloaded the manual from the Wisper website?

Yes, I've got the manual, I just don't find out easy to follow. By the way what has adjusting the cable etc got to do with wear on the pads?

As the pads wear you need to adjust the brakes to make up for it. As you look at the front brake from the saddle the left hand pad is moved by the brake lever, this one is adjusted in various places along the cable. The brake pad to the right is adjusted using a hex key through the spokes, if you operate the brake and see the disk bending off to the right then put the key in and tighten it up one click (or more as you get used to doing it). Check that the wheel rotates freely, then repeat until it doesn't and undo the adjuster one click. You might need to squeeze the brakes after you back it off before testing again. When you reach the end of the adjustment it seems to behave strangely and not adjust the same, this is when it's worn and needs replacing.
Edit: Don't try and spin the wheel with the hex key in place.
