Wisper 905e, Wisper 905se or Powabyke X

Hi,

Thought I'd settled on a Wisper 905e after reading good reports on here, however I was looking at the 905e and realised I was basing my opinion on the se model. Then to add more confusion I started looking at the Powabyke X6.

So, the question(s):

1) Is the 905e still a good bike compared to the se

2) I can't any reviews of the X6 - anybody have any experience of them and how they compare to the Wisper.

Hi Paul

The only 905e now is the 905eco which has a more restricted specification, otherwise it's either the 905se City or the 905se Sport. Have a look at this page to see the differences by clicking on the model names on the right:

The Powabyke X models are only just being released and I don't think are in the hands of the reviewers or customers yet.

Hi Paul,

Can you tell me where is the country you live and I will try and find a local dealer who has an X Bike in stock for you to try. The container arrived a couple of weeks ago and slowly shops have been receiving them since then.

I would advise try both before you buy...I have had a wisoer for a few weeks, Its OK but not particularly refined, but I understand improvements are on the way (at extra cost ) I am disappointed with the hill climbing capability though....

I've just ordered a replacement freewheel and chainring to tailor it to my commute, total cost is just over £20 and I'll get a better range of gears without losing much top end. I'll post up a thread when it's done.

Not so much improving as the gears may be perfect for a lot of people but I'm making it more suitable for my riding.

A wisper 905SE...this is my first electric bike. Enjoying the bike, but the power delivery is wasteful IMO. Also not as good as I was led to believe on hills. I should have tried one first hence the advise.
