Wisper 806 Alpino front wheel

Hi. My Wisper has been standing under a tarpaulin for a while and although it still works, the front wheel/motor
only turns in the forward direction. It will not roll back when manoeuvering switched off. It's a long time since I have used it and can't remember whether this is normal or not. Have I got a problem? Greatfull to learn what
is normal. Thanks.
