Wiring harness issues

Hello everyone,well I've had a catastrophic fail on my Ebike 2-1 conversion kit,however I've managed to wire it all back and reconnect the existing harness to my new wiring and I seem to have an extra red wire and I can't for the life of me figure out where it goes,I didn't notice it before so it makes me think it was attached to another cable inside,I'm just confused I've not been able to locate a wiring diagram for this kit I'm completely lost.....when I turned the display on it says error 10 which is a receiving signal wire but I cannot see where it goes? Help please

I would say, first thing is to attach some detailed photos, some great knowledge here but they will need a few pics.

We have no or very little detail to go by, except for an unconnected wire !!!
