Not only do the French have cheaper wine. Bikes are cheaper there too.
I certainly wouldn't mind a yamaha crank drive at such a low price. If you enter a code 'WINORA' you get 5% discount bringing the price down to 1899euro. That's £1405.
One of the the cheapest trekking bikes (made in europe) with a crank drive available here is KTM Macina Fun which costs £1899.
Here, the only trekking bike with a yamaha cd is a haibike for £2400.

Winora appears to own Haibike, while itself being part of the Acell Group which owns lots of brands.

There will be some rebadging going on, so a Winora may look the same as a Haibike or the same as something else made by Acell.

I would like to click the 'buy' button as I have found another retailer selling it for e1699 (£1250) but they only have step through version in stock right now.
The crossbar not available until Sept.

Yes, I noticed it as well. It's a shame Acell Group can't be bothered to offer more here - with their pathetic 'choice' of Raleigh Motus available in only 1 size fit all frame. As some British companies move manufacturing back to UK maybe they will come up with something similar in this price range.

If I thought I could get one at that price I would definitely make the effort, lovely lookin bike and excellent spec.
