Will this front light work with my bike/battery?

I am about to order this front light to fit onto my Woosh Big Bear:

Marsing CREE XM-L U2 24W 1500lm Waterproof 3-Mode 6500K White Light Motorcycle LED Bulb (12-60V)

It looks like it would be a good fit for running directly off of my 36V battery, without any dc converter.
I need to cycle in pitch black so the 1500lm looks good.

I've never done something like this before.
Do you think this will work on my bike ok?
Will the drain of 24w cause the bike to slow down?

Yes, but they're rubbish. I have tried one. It's a spotlight, no good for seeing where you're going. This one is much better:

They both have built in dc/dc converters. The second one needs to be sealed at the back with gutter sealant to make it waterproof.
