I recently made a post aboutmy bbs02 suddenly stopping working.. Well I found out the problem is in the cable going into the display... which cant be replaced.. So Im going to need to buy a whole new display.
I dont want to spend a massive amount as theyre pretty redundant anyway. Will this one work?

Why not repair the cable?

No that display won't work, one can't buy just any display. It has to be a bafang display with their software/programming.

My Bafang display has a separate control panel that are hard wired together, I'm guessing the op's problem is due to the wires being pulled free from their soldered connections to the circuit board.
I'd take it apart and see if it could be reattached.

I've got two cables going into my DPC-18 display: one from the external button set, another connecting to the controller. If you didn't fancy opening up the display or button set to replace whichever cable has broken... first disconnect the battery and leave for about half an hour, in case of any residual current... then perhaps cut all but an inch or so of cable nearest the display, then progressively cut away what's left, connecting and trying to switch your bike on each time? If you get it working, solder in an extension? If you're unlucky, it's broken within that first inch, and all of the above will have been a waste of time, which you could have spent opening up the display and/or button set to replace the cable.
