Hi I recently posted a thread about a issue I had with my controler I have confirmed it's my controller as when it was connected there was significant resistance on the wheel but when I disconnected it, it was fine.
Anyway I'm thinking of purchasing a Sabvoton 150a controller would I have to limit the amps via the app or would my motor be OK running at 150a
My motor is a 3000w 72v motor from solos bikes, I'm currently running it on a 60v battery that fully charges at 71.4v if that's any use to know and the standard controller is rated 60a thanks

1. A battery capable of well in excess of 150a will be required.
2. Tbh you need to ask the guys on Endless Sphere about the motors capabilities, on ES they are really the ones to speak to about these high current rates.

You will need to be extremely careful. Anything capable of pulling 150amps at 60volts is a serious current flow, and it could very well be lethal. To control the torque from that sort of power entails a bike with plenty of beef in it's construction. Look for the weakest link and strengthen it.
The cables from battery to motor will need to be very heavy guage, look at monster cables. They will still get warm to hot. Why anyone would want such a beast is a mystery to me. You would be far better off getting a motorbike for the sort of thrills for which you seem to be looking.
