Will 36V fry an Agattu motor?

Just wondering if supplying the Panasonic motor with 36V will fry the motor?

I was thinking of buying a 36V DeWalt battery, which Krauterbutter recommends so much, as a spare.

It will certainly fry the all important electronics, originally designed for 24 volts, and now run on 26 volts. £500 for a replacement complete unit.

The motor is sealed and has an over-temperature cutout, so even if the motor only was run from a separate controller, it would probably be cutting out regularly.
