Which Samsung 18650 is the newest out of these two?

I've heard of 32Es before, but not the 30Qs, so I would guess the latter as the most recent. The most important thing is which ones suit your needs. The 32Es have more capacity, but lower discharge rate. I normally take the maximum discharge rate and divide it by 2 to get a more realistic situation.

If I wanted a high power, light-weight battery, I'd go for the 30Qs and if weight is not concern, A 50 cell 32E one would be 16 AH and up to 24A at 2.5kg. A 40 cell 30E one would be 12Ah up to 30A at 2.0kg

Not sure which is the newest to honest. I've just bought a 60 cell pack (10sx6p) from InsatInternational that has 30Q cells. Jimmy told me that he managed to get hold of 1000 of them and they're very fresh.............whatever that means, probably not stored on the shelf for long I guess. He's tested them and he's impressed. Said that they only just get warm on his constant discharge test. Looks like the 32E is higher capacity than the 30Q from the link you provided. It's too early for me to report back on my findings I've only done 50 miles so far. (Recharged at 40 miles, but without a working meter I cant confirm voltage. I've just ordered a new meter, so will post some stats in a couple of weeks. I'm also on controller settings (BBS02 36v) as supplied, so I'm wasting energy at the moment.

What I've got now is a 48v 11.6Ah pack with Samsung 29E cells. The voltage sag is fairly noticeable for the last few Ah's, as I believe these cells are only really comfortable at 1C constant discharge.

Would a pack with the 30Q or 32E cells, yield less sag at the same point as the 29E cells?

30Q will sag less than 32E. I would guess that 32E are about the same as 29E.

Dave, would I be right in believing that with a 13S 4P configuration, a 30Q pack can deliver 60A continuous?

There's some more specs here:

I do like the way Samsung safety test their batteries. Gives some peace of mind when purchasing a pack :)

Page 16 of the pdf is reassuring lol.

60A is possible, but they won't last as long like that. The spec shows only 300 cycles to 73.8%. Personally, I'd be thinking of a 30A max controller for a 13S4P pack. That's a lot of power. Normally 25A at 48v is enough for any bicycle. There's also about 10% sag at 60A, and only 5% at 30A.

If you're thinking of a 25A BBS02, they should be fine.
