Which kit /hub to fit ?

Hopefully this weekend I should be picking up a 26" mtb .
It will be a mixed use bike but mainly for offroad use, speed is not critical but up to 20 mph is fine any ideas for a hub motor to use, I already have the heavy oxydrive cst 13ah kit on another bike so want to keep it legal so 250w.
I like the look of the 09 controller kit on BMSB with LCD3 which should allow adjust of amps to use, also I can use my 09 woosh 36v15ah battery to cut down build cost.. I have considered the Xiongda 2sp hub kit but this uses its own controller so not compatible with 09 kit. Was also thinking of going a bit lightweight so what about the merits of the Q100h freewheel hub in 260rpm.

I have seen them on the site Trex again the BPM is 350w and like my cst quite a heavy beast though have not totally discounted it.

you can use their MXUS XFC09 CST rear motor wheel and save a bit of weight - I reckon with the 20A controller the MXUS XFC09 gives out about 80% of the output of the BPM.

The MXUS is nice and smooth, but not particularly powerful. It also doesn't like high current. About 17A is a healthy max. 19A if you're light and have a light bike.

The Q128H would be nice at 20A. You get a 260 rpm one, which should be able to do 22mph at 36v, though I haven't tried it to verify the speed. The 260 rpm Q100H only does 19 mph on the road.

The Q128H could be OK with the 09 bottle battery and the included 20A controller.

This is his third bike, he's going to use the 15AH battery on his first bike on this one. Perhaps buy the controller for the 09 battery and a Q128H from bmsbattery.com

Contacted Tony some while ago about the MXUS and he said it was weedy.

Had a look at Q128's but can only see them supplied as 201 or 328 .

The controller trex has put up is the one I have looked at on BMSB, I simply replace it by removing the one machine screw on my extra battery fitting also as can be seen with the leads/connectors they are all water proof ones and it is all plug and play so nice neat conversion. The kit comes with LCD3, brake levers /cut outs, pas and thumb throttle.

Tony says also it is only 205rpm alright for lots of torque. Hall sensored motors aren't too difficult to find the Bafangs are sensored as well as the Q's which appear to run as sensored and unesnsored,

The MXUS can take a bit of extra current, but it doesn't respond wrll to it. You don't get a proportional increase in power like you do with some other motors.

You can get a 260 rpm Q128 by running a 201 rpm one at 48v. As well as the extra speed, you get 30% more torque like that.

Yes,I dont understand why not every hub motor is 48v,it is only benefits with a 48v system

Have made my decision and have decided to transfer my 18a BBS from the Heavy Norco700c to the lighter Cube AMS although I loose the front chain rings I get to keep the nice cassette. The Norco in return is going to be fitted with front Big bear kit (just ordered) from John at Cycleezee with 15ah battery which now gives me a 2nd 09 15ah battery which can be used alternately and also give me double range on two bikes now. With the Oxydrive kit on my hardtail mtb I will have 3 very different bike configurations.
