I'm looking for suggestions on a kit that'll give me 25-30mph. I have 27.5inch wheels would like it to be rear hub drive.
I've been looking at the 350W Yosepower, are they well regarded?

you need to consider the parameters:

- motor power
- battery
- gearing

pedal assist bikes can reach 28mph like s-pedelecs.
Beyond 28mph, it is an electric motorbike.
If you are happy with 28mph, the current best choice is the BBSHD kit.
Geared hub motors like the SWX02 are good up to 24mph.
Beyond 28mph, you need 1.5KW direct drive kit for 30 mmph, 2kW for 35mph.

28mph would be great. I have a choice of 2 bikes to put the kit on. A Carrera subway 2 with 27.5 inch wheels and a Boardman comp road bike with 700c wheels which I have converted to flat bar for comfort.
Would I be correct in thinking it would be better to connvert the Boardman due to it having thinner tyres and wheels and running higher pressures etc?

Also do you sell those kits with a battery?

That kit looks great but I’m after rear hub drive.
Think I’ll favour converting the boardman as there’s more winter tyre choices about!

you would be better off using a middle motor for that sort of speed.
The extra inertia on a hub motor can break spokes.

Yose 350w hub will hit 28mph @48v & 20a, I know this because I have done it with my kit. Gearing was 48/11 so may go a bit faster with taller gearing.

For how long the hub /clutch will cope with such high speed and amps, nobody knows.

To do this you will need a very good spec battery with great cells as you will be in pas 5 pulling top amps to achieve these speeds and you will be noticed if riding consistently at speed.
