October 7, 20187 yr Can anyone recommend a bike that would make for an easy build with a BBSHD kit 68-73 standard BB mountain bike style ? i have seen quite a few builds where people have had to use spacers or grind chainstays etc i am looking for a smooth first build if at all possible.
October 8, 20187 yr you should create a new thread in this section of the forum: http://pedelecs.co.uk/forum/forums/speed-pedelecs-s-pedelecs-non-eapcs-overseas.43/ The BBSHD is a very attractive product but it is not road legal without registering.

I had no trouble using a 2nd hand marin bobtail trail. Not the latest model but should be as good.Nice light bike ,handles the power with ease

October 29, 20187 yr Any Cannondale Trail model will do. I have a Trail 6. https://www.evanscycles.com/cannondale-trail-6-2019-mountain-bike-EV308178
October 30, 20187 yr Any Cannondale Trail model will do. I have a Trail 6. https://www.evanscycles.com/cannondale-trail-6-2019-mountain-bike-EV308178 that Cannondale 6 you linked to has 34T chainring. I would be worried that the BBSHD casing may foul against the chainstay.
October 30, 20187 yr Or for a simple build the Whyte Malvern Hybrid, now with BBS HD Hi Tommie, what battery do you have fitted to your bike, if you don't mind me asking? Cheers, Josh
October 30, 20187 yr that Cannondale 6 you linked to has 34T chainring. I would be worried that the BBSHD casing may foul against the chainstay. It has half a mm clearance and a perfect chainline. The standard 46T chainring does touch the chainstay but the 42T Lekkie ring just scrapes the paint. A single tap with a hammer was all that was needed to provide full clearance
October 30, 20187 yr Hi Tommie, what battery do you have fitted to your bike, if you don't mind me asking? Cheers, Josh That particular one came with the BBSHD kit, it`s a 48v 13aH item with Samsung cells.
