With the winter weather making cycling virtually imposible, how about a virtual e-bike? Nintendo has this to offer the Wii user:

Bikerumor | All The Best Cycling News, Tech, Rumors and Reviews!

Could technology enable e-bikers to have a virtual cycle run? A place where we could meet up in cyber-space to ride on some the worlds famous or scenic cycle routes. A place where we could try out a virtual Wisper, Kalkhoff or Cytronex bike.

Nahhhh. You can't beat the real thing. I'll wager the kit don't come cheap either. That smug looking lady in the tea shirt would be better engaged cleaning the bathroom - she'd burn more calories.
As would we all, of course, no sexism intended.:D

Perhaps we could all meet up in a virtual pub and have a virtual beer.:(

Cycling is fine in this weather, get out there. ;) Cold and snow are easy, it's high winds and heavy rain that put me off.

Virtual riding solves the battery cost problem and a virtual Ching Challenge wouldn't necessarily need multiple batteries.

The exercise could lead to virtual weight loss as an added virtual benefit.
