whats the best methode to check the range of my ebike modes?

hello all I want too once and for all get a good idea of the range of my ebike in its different pas settings.

bike vita uno 10.4 ah 3 levels of assist low /medium/high

do I just select low for instance and leave this on all the time regardless of terrain whether flat/hilly/downhill until battery is nearly exhausted (1 led left out of 4)

Find a short circular route around where you live that doesn't go more than 1 - 1.5 miles from your house (further if you are happy with it) and go in circles from a fully charged battery until the battery is empty! - Worked for me.
(I knocked about 10-15 miles off first by going out on a longer route then coming back).
The type of terrain you cycle over will affect the range, as will the temperature (winter will be shorted range) and the amount of extra luggage you carry.

Edit: when I tried to run down a battery unloaded - i.e. with the throttle on full and hub motor off the ground it took about 4 times longer than it would have done if I'd had the confidence to ride it.
