When it comes to Manilow, compression and removal of both extraneous and audible data is my preferred way to listen. The sound of vinyl beats FLAC and MP3 any day

Yer not wrong. Was in HMV the other day, and some of the albums were 20 quid plus. I balk at the cost of FLAC downloads these days, but as you say, at least they are free from crackles and pops lol.As for the resurgence of vinyl i',m happy to leave it to the hipsters, they're welcome to pay the extra for it.
I've even heard reports of cassettes making a resurgence..... WTF!Yer not wrong. Was in HMV the other day, and some of the albums were 20 quid plus. I balk at the cost of FLAC downloads these days, but as you say, at least they are free from crackles and pops lol.
I'm with you on that one. Off to room 101 with inferior sounding cassettes lol.I've even heard reports of cassettes making a resurgence..... WTF!
Now they really should be left to history....... although i do have fond memories of the huge ghetto blaster i used to own in the early 80's.
The only thing cassettes were good for, was recording your mates albums and taping the top 20 on sunday evenings on R1.I'm with you on that one. Off to room 101 with inferior sounding cassettes lol.
