Number #273 in the series..
a set of Conti Speed King tyres for the Cube.. Must say, fitting slicks to a 29" bike looks odd but purposeful ;-) Will see how it affects the commute. For those that are interested, the cheapest I found was with Bikester (nope, me neither!) https://www.bikester.co.uk/continental-speed-king-tyre-racesport-29-x-22-foldable-black-360073.html and even though they are a German company the shipping only took a couple of days...
The shift to a 46t front cog seems to be working rather well with PR's and KOM's coming up all over Strava.
If anyone is around in London on Saturday then see you at the Prudential Freecycle; been there every year since it started as have my kids - from a trailer through to balance bikes to my eldest (8) now on a 26" Islabike - its great fun and if you can get to town then its well worth it!
