Hi, I was wondering what make what rear cassette people use?

I usually run Shimano, they have brought CUES groupset, the cassette on this is meant to be stronger and should last longer.

You have Miche cassettes, the advantage of these is you can change each sprocket and tailor the gearing to suit your needs

There are other makes such as ZTTO, Sram, Sunrace etc.

Thanks for reading.

Shimano M5100 11 speed for the last two. I used 2 chains swapped every 1000 to 2000 km with the first of them, and got 9000km out of it. Second one, used three chains, still going at 9500km but near its end.

Cues is interesting, but so far more expensive. I get most of my M5100 and chains at sale prices which I have yet to see for Cues. Two cassettes sitting on the shelf, £25 each. That's two years worth covered!

For my Boardman 29er with Bafang mid drive conversion I bought a Sunrace cassette with high tensile steel sprockets (thought higher strength more important than lighter weight with a mid drive)

I also bought a KMC "e-bike" chain

Quite how much difference it makes, I'm not sure , but has lasted 2 years (of mostly good weather mountain bike use)

My reasoning was it was quite a lot of extra power going through the driveline

If the cassette is made of harder material, won't that wear through chains faster?

I use these...

...with KMC X8 chains. It all costs so little, I really don't care about wear, and nothing has broken or bent.

Sunrace 10sp on the Gravel bike not been changed for three or four years , quite hard wearing.
Ute cargo still has original 9 spd shimano cassette no idea of the exact version, typically with my bikes I maintain/keep an eye on things but don't interfere with replacing stuff if it is all working fine.

Chains are oiled and then cleaned /swapped over every 500 - 1000 miles.
