Weakened magnets?

Hi,all, I've just finished rewinding a burned out geared hub motor,the problem is when I put the stator back into the magnet bell the cogging effect seems weak.
When I touch 2 phase wires together it cogs more but not nearly enough.

I've re checked all my windings and all's good ,with equal resistance on all phases.
I can only conclude the magnets are heat damaged hence the weaker cogging effect.

Any help appreciated.

Not much you can do if the magnets have overheated. I guess you can replace them all if you can find some.
