Hi, a new member, but not new to biking, been cycling a few years but finding it harder to maintain my fitness with my age (62) dodgy knees over weight balding......i ain't got a lot going for me really lol!

I love cycling and the only way to get out an about again is to get a elec bike, to and from work and socially.

I've had a few bikes mainly Marin's, cos of my weight, I've always been around the 15-18 stone ( all depends what time of the year it is lol, been looking hard at the Kalkhoff's either the Endeavour 400wh BS 10 or the Agattu i8 HS but favouring the BS 10, any help would be handy peeps, i know the BS 10 is a bit naughty lol.

Regards, Pete

Snobs springs to mind?

Perhaps i should have said 'Hello i'm from Essex'? And i'm a country gentleman?!!!!!

Is Essex a no go area for civility?

Depends where in Essex!

Perhaps we were thinking the other way round that Marins and Kalhoff BS10s are too snobbish for us. Where about in Essex do you live? I've lived in Basildon, Grays, Pitsea and Maldon, before I was banished to Telford because I wasn't posh enough.

Hi and welcome Geez the best advise I can give is go and try as many E-bikes as you can, must be a few E-bike dealers in your neck of the woods.
And some of the cheaper makes can bring a smile to you.

I think he's a bit miffed that nobody said hello for 12 hours or so. Apparently we're not allowed a day away from the forum, even on the best weather day for months. ;)
PS Welcome Geez, and as the scousers might say "calm down, calm down" :D

Hi Pete, welcome! Your first post was on a sunny Sunday, everyone in bed later than usual, then out on their bikes etc enjoying the rare glimpse of that yellow blob in the sky.

If you'd posted Monday morning when most were in their offices trying to think of anything to do other than work, you'd have had loads of replies!

here I,ve just woke up! tis sunny in Southend the mo!

glorious Essex is not blessed with Pedelec dealers, tho' we do have Hattie at woosh cycles ,Queens rd Southend.
reckon you will need to travel to the metropolis to buy a higher end e- bike., if your from middle Essex then that's London or Cambridge,

As no more contact from geez for three days, let alone 12 hours I think he's gone off in a huff!
If not, hello from sunny Scotland:)

The BS10 is very good, especially at the current price, but there are also the two Endeavour Impulse 2.0 Speed electric bikes which are every bit as Type Approved and fast, but with more torque (70 Nm) and they come with a 612Wh battery rather than a 400Wh.
