In need of a small controller, preferably dual voltage as I plan to upgrade to 48v eventually

Can't help with offering a controller/lcd but have a look at KT dual voltage range, 15 or 17a one sounds ideal for your needs and are truly dual voltage 36/48. Doubt you will find smaller.

I seem to remember you trying your battery on a bike with a 15 amp controller and it not working when you did your conversion. I don't think you are going to have much success at 17 amps unless you replace that Suntour BMS. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
