Sorry new to this forum was not aware my location was hidden
I’m Brighton East Sussex

is their a Facebook group for e bike repairs someone can recommend or a mobile mechanic for E bike that covers south east thanks

In other words, they don't know how to test an ebike and diagnose the problem. They figure that if they change every single electrical item, it might come to life. It would be a shame if after all that it was the PAS and your £895 wouldn't fix it.

To me it should have read sorry we don't know how to test, but to cover all angles we will replace nearly everything in the hope we find what's wrong .

UPDATE
spoke to the dealer as I collected the bike
Apparently the battery has been repaired the fuses replaced it now holds a charge to 75%
When inserted to the bike it runs flat
According to him because the battery lock has been removed this has allowed water to see into the bottom and shorted out the electrical circuit which in turn has shorted the back wheel hub ?
Seems a stupid design if that’s the case
Anyway he said someone who specialises in electric repairs could get working at a fraction of the price

Anyway as i put above the dealer replaced the fuses In the battery but it’s losing power immediately when Inserted into the bike
Now apparently because the battery is missing the lock water has managed to seep in and damage the electrics near the peddles (can’t remover what he called it )
Which in turn has shorted the back wheel electrics
This seems like a awful design if that’s the case
I doubt he’s looked at them though as this was a free quote
So I’m still puzzled as to what the fault is

What’s the next step ?
take it elsewhere and see what they say ?
my only concern is they will just point me to the dealer again

If so I can then take a look with my meter at my leisure, I'm not a business or usually offer to often but now and then try and help folks out if I can.

I don't know why more people with problems don't say where they live. You never know when someone who can help lives in your street.

What the dealer said is completely false. there's no way in the world that water in the battery can harm a motor unless your controller is in the battery.

If voltage is going down when you connect the battery, there's a short somewhere, which is probably blown mosfets in the controller.

Anyway, you should be in good hands now. You also might have also got some help from KirstenS, who I believe lives in Brighton, if you bribed him enough.

Taken a big chance if you take it to Nealh as he shall take good parts of your bike out for his own use and replace with faulty crap ..Your choice though

Thanks I’m happy to pay for someone’s time to look at it but right now stuck between a rock and shed place not knowing where to go

Always said with EBikes with speaking to a few friends that E Bikes are a waste of £s only as nothing but troubles with them from the off ..I was wisest one going without my mates told me

But hey not that I already knew ..If not battery then always shall be something else up with them ..Be better off buying a motor bike as u get no issues like them and faster in the process plus not so much dodgy people looking to screw you in the process .

Fair comment I suppose like anything the more features it has the more to go wrong with it
I already own a motorbike have done for 8 years now but it’s far to easy to just jump on the motobike and drive everywhere
I was hoping to get some more exercise and use a bike but it’s all hills in Brighton
My only concern being electric is that I’ll not actually be getting any exercise at all so might as well stick to the motorbike
As for people screwing you over you could say the same for anything look at garages as example

To see if what the dealer said makes sense
I took the bike home earlier when it was heavy raining
So it got a drenched
Lifted the battery and it was indeed wet underneath
Three screws missing pictured so water could enter inside
Would this cause damage ? If so how would that affect the rear electrics
I’m unable to open the area myself as the screws are very tight

The place where u bought it from should fix this and if not then not good enough
should always be made sure all screws are tightly fixed in as should be
with checking all components before setting off ..but again e bikes are well known
to be dodgy sadly or else id have went down that route before now ..
