This from the Aldi website who used to sell your e-bike.

Does it look like this one? If so, King Meter are still around; others may know which model it is.

It's model E5227, manufacturer's website is here. You'll probably find one on ebay or ali.

Your issue is that there are three communication protocols used, UART, LIN (analogue?), and CANbus. You need to find out which version your bike uses.

Most bike repair shops don't seem to want to touch e-bikes they didn't supply.

Your best bet is to contact the original supplier as only they are likely to know which display version they used. If there was a manual supplied, there may be contact details in there for customer service/support/parts.

It seems to be a bike sold through a number of retail/on-line channels rather than "proper" bike shops. Go Outdoors sell and so will know this bike, and the majority of their retail stores claim to have full bike workshops with trained mechanics. Their website here lists where those are.

King meter are usually only OEM supplied as with your bike, it will be programmed as a pair with the main controller so not just a simple buy and fit option.
A bike shop or ebike shop won't touch it with the proverbial barge pole not because it is not an ebike they sell but simply because they won't have a clue.

For instance the King meter is programmed to XX brand of controller and could also be programmed to another brand of controller YY. Both King meters although they look the same and have the same display commands, it is the software/firmware that will differ so one brand will not be compatible with the other brand. King meter only supply the displays to the brands to sell with their kits, it is the brands that programme them and not King meter.

Tbh and as with a lot of after market OEM bikes the only answer really is to spend about £100 and find someone to retrofit a Kenteng (KT) controller and lcd display , these items are freely available on the market and will give a better set up then the one originally supplied. KT supply to any one wether OEM, third party retailer to the end user, these are all programmed by KT so in nearly all cases one can simply buy a KT to fit and it will work.

I think Vitesse ebikes was a brand of Moore and Large and then went into administration a while ago. In fact their stock is currently being auctioned at John Pye auctions.

I've definitely seen a Vitesse ebike on there or two.

It doesn't bode well for long term support for these ebikes though. Especially if the manufacturer in Asia won't be getting fully paid for some of its orders.

Nearly all similar sold bikes use an OEM source for the electronics to which often the only chance is the vendor to try and get some spares , often most don't supply or can help with spares.
In the long run for conveniance it is best to simply bite the bullet and upgrade using KT components which are widely available and the best option (imv) to upgrade to.

Buying from the likes of Wisper, Woosh or Volt etc is anothe good reason to buy as thy will carry or source the parts for you in most cases.
Freego's were also one that could have got a replacement for but now they are out of business , the KT route is an easy rout eto go down for about £100.

If I was thirty years younger today with the knowledge I have, I could have a p/t business going for generic hub ebikes and repairs.
