Does anyone have experience of using VPNs? I want to be able to access iPlayer and other UK TV streaming services whilst abroad.

Any recommendations / experiences or tips would be most welcome. I anticipate that I will be accessing it via a broadband WiFi connection. Something that allows an iPad to connect / use a VPN would be useful too.

Thanks

I use Hotspot shield, free to user with ads ideal for getting around Virgin's ban on TPB, not sure it would be any good for streaming as the dl rate is limited.

Ive always used "Ex Pat shield" whilst abroad without any problems, I have it downloaded ready to launch when required.

I recently noticed that my AV had expired. I reinstalled and received suggestions about installing DoNotTrackMe. I hadnt gone looking for this sort of thing but thought I would give it a go. Almost instantly I received a boost in speed when browsing the internet.

Its amazing just how many sites track your movements these days. It causes a real reduction in speed.

Excellent tip; thanks. It's available for Firefox and Chrome.
