Help! Viking Street easy no power to motor

Hi there

I'm new to the forum. I have a viking Street easy. I fitted a larger battery 24v 10ah but much larger in size then original bottle. It was working fine but I had to leave the previous battery holder in place as the controller was in its base. This all worked fine. Today I attempted to remove the controller from the original base with the intention of putting the controller into a case. I had to remove a lot a rubber waterproofing from the base to get the controller out and I think I did this without damaging anything. I wired it up to test and now there is no power to the motor. The magnet sensor light is on when the crank turns so there is power to the controller but no power from the on it seems. The left brake did seem to become very stiff at one point during this but unsure if it was related. Can I fit another controller and if so does anyone know which one I would need. Would also like to increase the controller to handle up to 350 or 500 watts capacity if possible in case I get a more powerful battery. Is there anything I can do to test the hub? If the PAS red light is on, it means that the controller is switched on and active. Your problem is probably something simple, like a connection fault or a brake switch stuck on. Disconnect the brakes for testing. The connectors are at the front of the bike. Does the PAS red light flash when you turn the crank?

Hi. Thanks for the response. Yes the red light is on when I turn the crank. I disconnected the brakes but no change, still no power going to hub. Where would I look for brake switch?

Shouldn't it flash when you turn the crank? Normally, if they don't flash, its because the magnet disc is too far away or not going round.

Brake switches are in the levers, but if disconnecting the brakes didn't solve it, it's not the brakes causing the problem.

The only other thing I can suggest is to make sure that the motor connector is all the way in, not just in.

Hi. The red light is flashing when the crank turns. Everything I plugged in. Do you know if I can use any 24 volt controller. Will the generic ones work? Thanks

Yes. You can use any generic controller, but from your unclear photos, it looks like your controller and motor are sensorless. How many pins are in the motor connector?

Wrong answer, unfortunately. The question was how many pins in the motor connector? When we say sensorless, we're talking about the lack of sensors in the motor. If there are three thick plus 6 or 6 thin wires coming from the motor, it has hall sensors in it. If it's only three wires, then it's sensorless.

It has just the 3 wires, the green blue and yellow wires. What would my next step be please. Do I need a specifica controller for this?
