August 16, 201114 yr I've been thinking about those small video cameras that had several threads running after a car driver cut right in front of me approaching traffic lights but when I had a look on the 7dayshop site they don't seem to be available now. Can I ask if those who bought them if they sill work and are they still using them? Has anyone bought or seen anything similar lately? Thanks.

Do a search on ebay for mini dv car camera or if you prefer the camera built in to sunglasses do a search for mini dv spy sunglasses. Make sure you get the 8gb sd card supplied or find a supplier for this. I've got both and they are OK (so far). I like the camera built in to the sunglasses even though my videos are mostly of the road 10 feeet ahead of me.
August 16, 201114 yr I'm still using the CAR DVR torch style camera. Its been excellent and survived all my tests! I looked last week and they were still available... I'll see if I can find it again ... I also bought some goggles but they failed a RAIN test! ... and I haven't been able to use them since! .. ... found the CAR DVR - its 14:99! ... but you will have to get your own SD card. I use an 8gb card which easily records my 50 minute commute to work. August 16, 201114 yr Author Thanks! I tried searching the site and although the search terms tried found some other video cameras I just couldn't find that one. I also did a bit of a search and came up with one at dinodirect that comes with a handlebar mount too, a couple of batteries (which have less than 50% capacity of the 7dayshop one, and has 8 white leds around the lens so works down to 1 lux (not sure how useful that would be, but chances are the battery will get flat faster). I've got a couple of 8Gb micro SD card that I used with a DS Lite that's no longer used, I just need to find it! Edited August 16, 201114 yr by aseb

August 17, 201114 yr BBC News - Helmet cameras capture bad driving I think this shows how important these devices can be! That said, I haven't quite got round to getting one yet...
August 17, 201114 yr hi i got an oregon scientific camera with mount for my wisper its a bit bigger than normal,but its fully waterproof i used it right through th winter,the great thing about it is that it takes ordinairy batteries. hope this is helpfull,windycycle scotland

August 17, 201114 yr hi i cant rember which web site i got it on probably oregon scientific site, the full name of the camera is oregon scientific action camera atc5k you also get lots of extras to play with too,plus no problems with rechargable batteries hope this helps windycycle,all the best.
