Using KT LCD5 with Cyclotricity kit

I bought a cyclotricity 250W kit a few months ago. Ordered NO LCD/LED as I just wanted to try it out. I'd now like to add an LCD display, but the cyclotricity website shows it is backordered. Can I swap in another, similar available online (e.g. ebay/amazon), as I would like it sooner rather than later? It seems like the KT-LCD5 is very similar, and has a waterproof connector that looks identical to the one on my kit.

Is your kit solely the 250w kit or does it have the 1000w option ?

You can use any of the KT LCDs, but only the Cyclotricity has the 250w setting. I'm not sure that it makes the kit legal, anyway. You can limit to 25km/h with all the LCDs and you can select different powers by using the 5 power levels.

It's the 250W only version.

If you have the geared 250w motor, you can use any of the KT LCDs.
