That makes perfect sense to me. Our own test figures which although are achieved on a flat circuit without many stops and a 75kg rider (rider and weights), do give an indication of what can be achieved in near perfect conditions.
The permutations of rider weight/fitness, temperature, wind resistance, road quality, rolling resistance, motor efficiency/gearing, battery function/size and terrain are so huge that the best indicator is probably anecdotal.
That brings us squarely back to the battery?
