Strengths:
Two months into e-biking I can say I love my bike very much. Disability had resulted in me previously being virtually unable to ride having ridden bikes since childhood. So far the UM55 had peformed well, although I'm neither technically minded or an expert - these are only my own observations. The bike pretty much does what is claims, gets me about very nicely, is comfortable and fits my short stature well. I've never tested the distance limit as I'm unlikely ever to cycle more than 8/9 miles in a day. After this I still have four lights on the power meter - I cycle fairly slowly and weigh 55kg, so hopefully will not have any problems with battery capacity in future. My useage is all recreational. The frame seems sturdy and no bits have fallen off yet or screws loosened. I've probably done about 100 miles so far, mostly using low power, set off using the throttle and never ride unpowered. Changing power levels is very easy and the throttle is wonderful for setting off or when my legs start to ache.

Weaknesses:
From my experience of previous bikes, I would think the gears are not brilliant - well not as good on my old Raleigh hybrid at any rate. Unless I need to negotiate hills I don't change much so can live with this. For me it is virtually impossible to ride it unpowered - reading this forum i guess this is common to many e-bikes.

Summary:
The bike brings a smile to my face, has given me back cycling and I'm really pleased I took the plunge. Hubby wants one now and his legs are fine - he's fed up chasing me! The dealer was great, the bike seems well put together and they even deilvered it to me.
