After lurking for a while and going round and round trying to decide which type of electric bike my wife and I would eventually buy, we went into our local cycle shop two weeks ago to buy some new brake shoes for her bike.
Uh oh! they had a Giant Prime E for sale (a 2014) model at a very attractive price. It has a Yamaha crank motor. So we bought it. On going to collect it they had a 2015 model Prime E again at a very attractive price, so now we both have them!
It seems the 2015 model has a 420 wh battery as opposed to the 2014 which is 300wh, so we will have to see what sort of range we get.
Yesterday I managed to cycle up a big hill where we live with ease. The last time I cycled up that hill on a normal bike was a long time ago!
No doubt we will be asking loads of questions as time goes on
