Warning do not try a fat bike as your 1st conversion[ after 3 fat bike mid drive builds,]

My observations perhaps this might help with a 73mm bb 100mm bb and a120mm bb all had the same problems
Not for the faint hearted all have required modification and fabrication and more than a basic tool kit so not an out of the box installation

The tsdz2 fat bike factory motors have 100mm shaft length ,so the bb max width is 90mm also the pedal arms are tight to the frame on the non drive side , and the 120mm version has the same problem, the bb max is about 110mm and the pedal arm on the left non drive side just clears
The modified colour bafang display has limited options- functions, unless cracked with the full open source program +the display cables are way to long required a cut and shut is not worth the extra £90

The vlcd 5display 48v version has good power and is the best price option, but about 21 days delivery from china via Holland
Tried a 120mm in a 100mm bb frame all bolts up ok, but the chain line is out unless you grind/ cut the excess [8mm]off the drive side then it is ok
This build is a 120mm bb with only very minor modification drill one hole for the rear motor mount and Dremel the burs on the inside of the bb, all fitted and with a good chain line everything worked first time
The brand new bike had paint minor scratches when un boxed and the brakes needed an upgrade to hydraulic and bigger discs the road tyres on this are a vast improvement

Do not try a conversion with an all steel frame with steel wheels and unknown brand tyres ,the cheap Chinese bikes are so heavy even before the conversion, just to lift the back wheel and refit can be a two person job
The new build a super light fat bike [can lift with two fingers] is in the garage awaiting delivery of a Bafang motor from the east
