trickle charging

Newbie question
Ive owned boats and we use to put a solor panel trickle charge on top to keep it charged up in the sun.
Question
Can this be done with electric bikes or is this a silly question.

No. Don't do it on an ebike (or anything else) with a lithium battery. You don't need to. Once charged, they stay charged. Pushing more in wil damage them. The charger is automatic. It knows when the battery is full. If you leave your bike unused for a couple of months, plug in the charger and let it do its work until the green light comes on.
