Tranzx PST - help!

Featured Replies

Hi, it's good to be here.

I'm hoping that the pedelec hive-mind can help me out. I just bought a very nice Ave e-bike, fitted with a Tranzx PST system (front hub motor)

The bike was very cheap due to an issue with the electrics. When the assist does work, the motor is quite noisy and seems to run rough (though I've no idea what it should be like, as I'm new to all this...), it then shuts down and displays error 1.

It's logical to assume that a Hall sensor issue is present, but as it uses a multi pin in-line connector, I can't think how to test the sensors.

It would be good to know of a UK firm who could advise/supply parts/repair this kit.

Any advice would be most welcome.

Hi welcome

Sorry I can't help with your particular problem but have an ask about the site I'm sure someone could help or at least steer you in a better direction

This link is to the advice from Andrew Harevey on how to test your motor.

That's going to be a bit tricky on many versions of the TransX.

I don't know their hub motor that the OP has, only aware of the TransX crank drive unit. Andrew's advice was generic for hub motors.
