TONARO on Ebay

Featured Replies

Just spotted this TONARO on Ebay. Full suspension and that beautiful yellow colour. Someone's going to get a bargain.

Electric Mountain Bike,,,, Very Powerfull!!!! | eBay

Quick, someone PM indalo the details:)

Darn it , where did I leave my flak jacket.

The retail price of a Tonaro BigHit is £1200 and they are only available in black?

The Tonaro Unicorn comes in yellow, but I have not seen a yellow BigHit before.

I note that the Tonaro logo is missing and there is no mention of warranty.

However there is no harm in asking the seller, it could be a genuine bargain.

Thanks John,

I didn't want one I was just curious in respect to what was being asked for it.

Regards

Yep I dont think this is a genuine UK Turdaro...Poor old Indalo will be absolutely devastated!

Hi Jerry,

I realise that you were enquiring on behalf of Indalo;)

I may be mistaken, but I think that when Powerpedals first had the Bighit on their website, it was yellow.

They may use colour variations within models, I remember when eZee e-bikes were in a choice of three primary colours and silver, all with coloured batteries, the batteries to match also being available after market. They gave that up after a while due to the difficulty in maintaining the range in stock, reverting to just silver and/or black.

You are probably right Tony. The first BigHits may well have been yellow.

You are definitely right about eZee, although there may well be a splash of colour on the horizon again:cool:

Thanks shemozzle999, that's the one that was illustrated on the Powerpedals site that I saw originally, thought I wasn't mistaken.

Great in the rain when wearing a traditional yellow cape and sou'wester, the Yellow Peril!

Big question.

Where did it come from?

Unlike the models sold by Powerpedals and Eco, this one has

1 No Tonaro badge,

2 No lights,

3 Claims a 250watt engine which as far as I know only was imported this year.

4 Claims a Panasonic battery

True, they have been sold in the USA etc. under different names, but I am just wondering....that's all.

loads of these for sale in Europe, I am guessing the T originated in Spain, going by the name, just a guess...... In Germany it is called the Spacerider among other names as well

Or Italy, this style of e-bike is also popular there.

It looks like a version of the Tonaro.

They did make them in yellow as I have seen quite a few on the net. Tonaros are made under different trade names all over the world. The transfers are put on over the paint and not under the topcoat. They are simple to remove with a hot air gun.

The Tonaro usually has Zoom shocks and the controller is different to the controller on our bikes. But that could obviously have been changed. It has the strange battery shape compartment as the Tonaro.

The only way to find out if this is any good is to get on it and try it.

Ok,, is actually from Factory I am dealing with directly..Will be selling under my own name..All future bikes have stickers on etc...Web-site being developed right now..Sorry cannot mention name just yet...Lights have,,, but removed...AS was personallygoing to keep bike,,,, but now have 6 samples to hand..Just have not the room right now....What with big shipment on way also.. And new samples also to testcontinually..

Be very careful as there are different versions and some better then others I believe....

Not as if its a lot cheaper then established seller? who has a record of very good support according to owners on here......It might not have a throttle either, this may or may not be a consideration...

Thanks for your reply Eiddeo i think i will give it a miss, as you said it is not that much cheaper, i have an E-bike but this just caught my eye.

I would be interested but if you ever needed a spare battery for this bike where do you look as i think its a bike from china ?

Tonaros are still made in China and distributed around the world, so spares should be available, even if you have to get them direct.
