Hi stuster......welcome to the forum :)

I am sure there will be plenty Tonaro Big Hit bike owners along shortly to tell you what a good bike it is !
Try using the advanced search facility at the top of the page and you will be able to read many previous posts from owners.......all seem to be very happy.
But , as always, before buying any bike, you need to try one to see if it suits you
Good after sales service too.....par none....:)

there are many very good electric bikes available, best to give an idea of your budget. Personally I dislike the style and weight of the Tonaro's

what ever you do try and demo as many bikes as possible as its the best way of separating the hype and BS from whether the bike is right for you.....

where do you live?

Hi Stuster and welcome to the forum.

Eddieo's question about your location is valid as it will help narrow down what your closest geographical options are.

What you should buy depends on many factors which will be determined by you but the first consideration should be budget. Add to that what the bike will be used for and then consider the terrain over which the bike is likely to be used........you can see where I'm going so the perennial advice holds true. Make the effort to try as many different makes and types as you can manage. The opinion of others is usually subjective and there is a tendency for owners to applaud their own choice of bike so it is really important to get the feel of the various bikes for yourself.

I'm with Eddieo on his view of the Tonaro but what we think about it doesn't make it a bad bike at its price in the market. So long as you understand that at that price point there is a lot of worthy competition, you'll have a fair chance of getting a bike which actually suits you and does what you require of an ebike.

The actual style is probably of least importance although I prefer European style influences rather than Oriental. I also prefer to pedal rather than just sit on a moped letting a powerful, (and probably illegal) motor drag me up and down hills. Health and physical ability play a large part for many people, some requiring a throttle due to physical impairment, for example.

If there's a shop down your street selling ebikes, that's probably a good place to start but ebike dealers tend to be rather sparse across the UK.

Remember the old adage, "Buy in haste; repent at leisure.".......ish! and you won't go far wrong.

Enjoy your search,
Indalo

For what it's worth I've yet to read a bad review of the bighit or heard from anyone who was disappointed with it. They seem to be very capable on and off road machines
