I'm slightly confused about something. I thought that I had best fit and check the Thule EuroClassic 928 G6 LED bike rack, before venturing off to the Swiss alps in 5wks weeks time, and discovered that the two sockets between the car and the rack aren't compatible.

The Thule manual lists an adapter (code 9906) 7-to-13 pin adapter, and this is where I'm confused, as the female car plug has seven holes, the Thule socket has 8 pins, and I don't seem to be able to find an 8 pin adapter.

Now I'm not sure what to actually buy.

Pretty sure your 9906 is the right one, converts 7 pin on the car electrics to 13 pin on the trailer. (Your trailer plug has 5 blanks + 8 pins=13).
(Thule buying guide:'If the car is equipped with a 7-pin electrical outlet this adapter converts it, making it possible to fit Thule’s 13-pin products.')
Thule also list a 9907, which is the reverse, 7 pins on the trailer plug to 13 pin car electrics.

Don't buy the Thule adaptor, it will cost you and arm and 2 legs. Go to Halfords for the same adaptor, much cheaper-or on-line ebay etc.

Thanks all for the replies, and thanks for your input as well Martin.

I went down to our local caravan centre yesterday, and they sold both pattern and Thule OE version.

I expect that the un branded one would have done the same job, but for my peace of mind I opted for the Thule OE one. :)

I'm Still puzzled by the extra pin, but as it fitted and everything works fine, I'm not going to dwell upon it. Odd that the rack didn't come with the adapter, but as I got it brand new for a little over £200.00 delivered, I shouldn't complain. :)
