We have used this carrier for about 12 months and 500 miles. Well worth the money - carries two Juicy Dutch ebikes easily. Solid as a rock over rough ground and local speed humps (difficult to tell the two apart as far as vibration and shock impact goes). The bikes are clamped onto the carrier and the wheels secured firmly in place with racheted QR straps. The carrier locks onto the towball and an illuminated number plate board is built in and ready wired up. Takes about 5 minutes to set-up or dismantle (well, after a bit of practice, that is).
Downside? Solid construction = heavy! It folds down but still takes up a fair amount of space in the shed. Cheaper now than last year but we don't begrudge the money (well, only a little .. ). Nothing has fallen off or bent or failed in use. **** product (would have been ***** but it is a heavy lump!.

Hi, I bought the same carrier in May 2013.
Having a tow bar fitted, Witter, cost £255 and the carrier was about £324 if I remember correctly for a 2009 Honda Civic.
Expensive but as my main bike is a Storck Multitask it sort of justifies spending the money on an easy to use sturdy carrier.

Oh go n.. Show us some piccies!!!

have a thule campervan carrier but cannot lift bike high enough and also fearful the carrier will not only collapse under the weight but also remove the bits of metal (hurumph..¥%rust¥$) off at same time... used to have a thule bike rack mounted on one of my two towballs....

I have one too. It caries a KTM and a lifecycle. It appears solid and cleverly designed. It can only be fitted and removed with the key in. I have bent some keys in the mechanism while opperating it but that is about the only bad thing I can say!

Our bikes are heavy but we use the 'optional extra' loading ramp which really does make loading/unloading a doddle. I would suggest that a person with fewer than ten thumbs could fashion their own ramp ...
