Throttle with key switch

I've successfully converted my bike with rear hub and controller but decided I wanted to fit a switched throttle, thinking it would be a matter of connecting same coloured wires and off I go. Not so, my original throttle connects to a six wire connector, but the switched throttle I bought has five wires. Or is there a simple way by putting a switch into one of the cables from the controller. Any help (simple) on wiring these ? To make it worse I'm 72 mechanical minded but not electrical.
