Hi I'm looking for some advice if anybody could help.
I have just recently purchased a second hand bicycles4u folding ebike, when purchased all was working fine until I decided to have a look through the settings on the c600e usb lcd, after doing so the throttle is no longer able to function although everything else works fine.
Although this problem occured after looking through the settings, I am beginning to think think this may just be coincidental and actually a wire may have broken.
I have opened up the area on the frame where the controller is fitted and looked at the wiring and all seems intact.
I have noticed the throttle wire in the controller area is only showing as 2 colours purple and grey plugged into a usual 3 pin red/white and black from the controller, the ground wire from the throttle is not wired into the connector.
Looking down the frame I have noticed the wire from the handlebars seem to run through what looks like some sort of multi plug so I'm assuming the throttle ground maybe shared inside the multiplug with the lcd.
I had a working 3pin thumb throttle with matching colours lying around which I wired to a 3 pin connector and connected directly to the throttle plug coming from the controller and tried that but got no joy.
Any help would be much appreciated
