I'm converting a regular bike to e-bike using a set of components I found online:
Motor: Bafang 36V front wheel
Controller: Brainpower Motor controller (Model: 800A-6T)
Battery: 30 cell 36 V 8A Li-ion battery pack from jag35.
Throttle: Wuxing
Issue is with the handlebar twist throttle. As soon as I turn on the display, the motor starts whirring (wheel doesn't spin), when I twist the throttle, there is a bit of a delay, and then wheel turns at full tilt, and remains at full speed even when I release the throttle. When I twist the throttle a second time, the wheel stops spinning - although the wheel still makes noise and whirs. During this whole time, the tachometer on the LCD display reads 209 rpm - it's either 0 or 209 rpm. I don't have a voltmeter to test the voltage delivered by the throttle. Any ideas on what to do? I'm willing to dismantle the throttle and tinker, seeing as how they're cheap to replace.
