Hi, I am new to this and electric bikes... need help with a full twist throttle with key power up. Want to decommission the throttle but not sure which wires to take out or fit a new half twist throttle which I have purchased but the coloured wires are different.

From the old throttle i have yellow, white, black, green,red... going into yellow/orange,green,black,white,red.(E9 connector)

The wires of the new throttle are yellow, blue, red, green, black.

Anybody help out.

The bike is from Spain. Its a'Helliot' Urban Folding Bike.

Cheers.

Where did the new throttle come from any link to it as it will likely confirm wiring ?

Three wires are for throttle hall and two are for the throttle switch.

My logic is saying
The Red and Black are the obvious for 5v & Gnd, so wire to the same E9. Green is likely throttle signal so goes to E9 White.

Yellow and Blue are the on off switch supply , Yellow battery + & Blue controller ignition feed ?
So Yellow to E9 Y/Or and Blue to E9 Green.

Hi, The new throttle I bought is a DRL Global Electric Bike Scooter Half Twist Throttle 12-120v LED Display Voltmeter Key Lock .https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B06Y2DYVNJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=.
also attached photo of the original throttle that is on the bike. I am not comfortable with the full twist throttle and thought it would be easy to change, but as the bike has come from Spain the wiring is different. We then thought that we might be able to disconnect the throttle but leave the power supply, but couldn't figure out what wires to disconnect.
If we took the throttle with key power switch off completely would we be able to replace with just a power on/off switch?

If you don't want the old throttle to be active then Black, Green & Red are the throttle wires, but being full twist is will still do so.

The new throttle being only half twist will be easier to live with wire up as I indicated in #2 as I believe it to be correct.

You can test the to see if E9 white wire is the signal with a meter, place the Black probe on the Gnd/Balck wire and the Red probe on the White wire which should be signal wire. Operate throttle and you should see about 1v .

As to a key switch only you will have to try one, connecting to E9 Yellow and Green only.

Took out the red, black and green wires from the throttle leaving the white into green and yellow into yellow/orange (2 wires) but got no power... any suggestions please?

The lock feed might need the Red & Black then a these may well be the primary power supply.
