Thought I'd better mention progress after three years. JuicyBike Classics x 2. Still in very good nick - no rust, paint lasting well. Serviced by the chap in Warrington market once a year - adjust brakes, tighten a few spokes. One rear brake disc replaced - slightly bent.
One faulty battery replaced in first few months - no-hassle service by Bob Wales in Buxton.
Since then we've replaced the battery (36v 10a) in J's bike because she keeps doing 40k charity rides for GOES and Gladstone's Library. Quite low milage - about 800 - 1000 miles on each bike. Gears change smoothly (Shimano 7spd SIS Tourney).
Overall, a jolly sight more reliable than our Focus Estate which sheds bits (including the auto-box) like an oak in Autumn.
Thule carrier (plus optional loading ramp) makes transporting bike a cinch.
Overall, nothing really to report, Guv - which is just how it should be!
Happy ebiking, and may the ewind be ever at your back!:):)

Great to hear Tom!

So many improvements over the last 3 years (motor, gears, brakes, mudguards, chain and more), but great to know the fundamentals are right.

Joyce does stirling stuff and it would be good to hear more about her charity work. I'm sure if you were both a little less modest and told more about her latest sponsored rides on these forums there are many folk that would be particularly interested.

For those that are unaware, both Tom and Joyce dedicate a substantial part of their lives working for the benefit of Children in Africa, and have many interesting stories to tell.

Would a free service at our workshop tempt you to visit Tom? It would be great to catch-up.
Best regards and love to Joyce
