I have decided not to proceed with the Sundowner due to the size of the frame.
I am considering the following and would appreciate input from owners :-

1. Momentum Model T
2. Smartmotion E-Metro
3. Woosh Big Bear LS

I appreciate they are quite different and I hope to have test rides in due course.
I'm attracted to the Momentum for its looks and the fact it has a steel frame. I'm not bothered by the lack of suspension.
The Smartmotion is new to the UK, and has an attractive spec. and low weight (relatively).
The Big Bear has a larger battery but am concerned about lifting it onto a bike rack on the rear of my car.

I am 169cm, 68kg and quite fit for an old gimmer :p.

the Momentum model T is bigger than the Big Bear LS and a lot lighter.
You are not very tall, otherwise I'd recommend the model T.
The Smartmotion E-Metro is about the same size and power as the Woosh Santana, smallest of the three.

I have a Big Bear LS and think it's brilliant and a superb price for such a machine with a 15 AH battery.

As you surmise, the weight is only a problem when you need to lift it onto a high bike rack. I now have a rack that fits on a towbar, which is much lower, and can manage that lift easily. I always remove the battery of course as that is quite heavy.

I carry two ebikes on this rack on the back of my motorhome. Of course, if you need to fit a towbar it will be an expensive business. If you already have a towbar there are much cheaper racks if you're only carrying one bike.

It's worth watching the video in my link. It's a super piece of kit and solid as a rock. When I carried two lighter bikes on the rear of my motorhome using a normal bike rack, every time we went over a bump I felt as though the back end was going to be ripped off.

The rack looks fantastic but unfortunately I don't have a tow bar on my car. I will need to see how I manage to lift the bike without the battery.
