Gotta say I've seen a lot worse than this from the design perspective. It seems to have some half-decent components on board too so perhaps worthy of consideration?

I haven't done any research on the company so I don't know if they have premises; if they have ever sold ebikes before; nor do I know about warranty and the chance they might be around long enough to honour any claims. Other people too most probably shy away from non-mainstream ebikes on ebay for similar reasons.

So for me, while the style is modern and appealing, I'd probably stick with tried and tested fare such as those we read about in the forum.

The problem is that just by putting top end components on a bike does not make it a good bike.
The frame geometry, weight and strength is most important.
In this instance we have an interesting change to tried and tested geometry.
The question is why bother?
There are no obvious advantages and I am left with the feeling that yet once again some whizz kid without any real knowledge has tried to redesign the standard bike frame.

Winora are a long established German bicycle company and one of the many brands owned by the huge Accell Cycle Group, the largest of the two European cycle groups by far. Their other brands include Batavus, Koga, Sparta, Hai Bike, Ghost, Lapierre, Atala, Redline, Tunturi and XLC, some highly respected names in there but they've bought some turkeys as well, such as the Atala mentioned.

This one looks quite smart and commensurate with the £2300 indication in the top line, but it has some daft overspeccing, the 27 gear front and rear derailleur on an e-bike for example. The weight is carefully not mentioned.

My bike has 27 gears and it works great

TBH though - I rarely shift on the front rings, normally leaving it on the biggest - but I do use all 9 gears at the rear though - I like to pedal at the ideal cadence - any less than 9 speeds and I struggle to find the ideal gear sometimes - in fact, there's a bit of a step on the 9 speed cluster I have - often finding myself wishing for an extra gear between the 7th and 8th sprocket.

That's a very unusual opinion in e-biking though, few liking more than 9 gears and quite a few thinking that's too many. Even one of Powabyke's own top people reckons he only ever uses the top four of the 24 gears on their X-byke and he's in hilly Bath.

Went for £885 (inc delivery). A quick look at the German eBay gives the lowest sold price at about £1200. Don't know if that makes it a bargain, but does suggest seller would have better off advertising it in Germany.
