I happened across this video the other day.
The original footage was shot by Dennis Winslow, probably on a wind-up cine camera. The footage has now been digitised by the Western Film Archive. Of interest to me, because the Ridgeway Route is one of my favourite E-biking areas. Much of the footage shows the many ancient monuments on the route...and nothing has changed in the sixty years that have passed.
May I suggest you make a pot of tea, and sit back and view the video, it's quite long, but very relaxing.
