where can I get the part in the controller enclosure with the prongs that go into the battery ?

any idea if it has a "name" and if so what is it called ?

it's the separate plastic part with 2 x 10mm prongs that the power leads to the controller are soldered onto, the part usually sits inside the enclosure with the controller, and the battery pack "plugs" into the 2 prongs

I just realised the description was not accurate and edited the above.

It's usually fixed inside the enclosure that contains the controller
i.e. the controller is separate but the controller's main power input leads come from this part when the battery pack is plugged on

You will be better posting a pic of the part or the controller you are talking of.

good idea :)

I used to use a well-known photo-hosting site that has now blocked photo-hosting (thread about it in this forum), and, as I'm not sure how to upload images direct to this forum, I've found some images from the internet.

AFAIK these are a fairly typical type of plug-and-socket setup for battery packs to conveniently drop into, usually sliding down or along a "carrier" bracket. I have 2 e-bikes with different battery packs but they both use the same type of plug-and-socket which is shown below.

I found the image below on ebay

different image below of it fully "docked"

and below you can see the plug-and-socket, the controller will be in the plastic enclosure and the part with the "prongs" is what I am looking for, I think that it is a standard part for this type of plug-and-socket

this final image below of a different battery pack, shows the same part plugged into the base of the battery pack with wires already attached

We need a photo of your actual battery and receiver because there are different ones. I might have one, but I need to see what you need.

Not a picture of the side of the battey - the actual things that the prongs go into. Please make it easy for us.

Thanks for the offer, but I don't need a replacement. Best if I explain.

I have 2 e-bikes and each has a 36V Li-ion battery that does not fit into the bracket/space where the other goes. What I want to do is use either battery to double the range, by making up 50cm extension leads. The "prongs" that go into the base of one battery are 10mm, while the "prongs" on the other are 6.5mm.

I was hoping that it's possible to buy the part that is shown plugged into the battery in the last image in #4 (note that that image is not hosted from ebay). Once I know what it's called (if it has a proper name) then I might be able to find one of each ?

At the other end of the extension lead I will be using female spade terminals to plug onto the "prongs" on the enclosure.
This is a good guide to female spade terminals

I've seen 10mm and 6.5mm female spade terminals on ebay, and as I say, I was hoping to be able to find the part that sits in the controller enclosure and simply wire female spades up to each of them.

The alternative is to buy male spade terminals for the other end, but I feel that the correct part would be more secure in the base of the battery.

So I was hoping for some way to be able to find the part using google. I've tried several words but it's like looking for needles in a huge haystack, assuming that there are a few of these needles somewhere LOL
