Sometimes I have a look at www.alibaba.com, a sort of global trading site where one can see a lot of the Chinese bicycles that then (in Italy, but I presume in the UK as well) we find under various brands as cheap offers… This time I’ve seen something that appears to me quite strange: it seems the American version of the old twist, both as gts and lds frame, sold by an English (?) company, proposing also the old Merida… May be I don’t understand: is it a copy or a stock of old models or what? And where will be sold those bicycles? I see as well that on the site of the US shop Nyceweels the old twist seems still in stock.

Yes, these are old American stock Leonardo. Giant may have needed to help some US dealers to move them in order to keep good relations, or they may just have been their own stock surplus after discontinuing the model. Nycewheels like them and don't seem to mind continuing to sell them from stock.
